Violette Avouac - Story and Research

Story #1
**in this world with each coin comes a tiny creature (maybe a dragon?) that lives on it.
Exposition: A little boy walks the busy streets of the city, has one coin in his hand, and plays happily with his creature.
Inciting Incident: A lady next to him drops her wallet and a bunch of coins+creatures fall out so the boy goes to help pick them up. He ends up stealing 2 coins.
Conflict: he feels powerful with his 3 creatures but becomes greedy and jealous of those more wealthy than him.
Crisis: nobody is at a stand on the market so he runs to go get the bag of coins but when he opens it all the creatures in it get out of control and he is overwhelmed.
Resolution: He decides to give the big bag of coins back and instead he happily walks away with only his first coin in hand (the first one he had).
^ too much money does not bring happiness and that greediness is a terrible quality

Back up story #2
Exposition: little monk boy is playing with monkeys behind his temple.
Inciting Incident: he looks up and realizes nobody from his temple is watching him as the city bus pulls to a stop next to him, so he climbs on.
Conflict: he arrives in the big city and is in awe but he soon realizes he is completely lost.
Crisis: night time is approaching, it starts to rain, and the little boy doesn't know where to go or how to get home.
Resolution: a monkey from the temple pops up, the little boy is very relieved, and they both go home before the rain starts hitting too hard.
^story about how there will always be someone looking out for you even if you don't know this.

Back up story #3
Exposition: little girl dreams of going to school but is too poor - she works as a housemaid for a family with girls her age
Inciting Incident: in the house, she finds an expensive necklace on the ground and keeps it for her as a secret
Conflict: she doesn't know if she should sell it and get enough money to go back to her family and go to school or if she should be truthful and give it back.
Crisis: the house's mistress asks if the little girl has seen a necklace and she finally gives in and gives it back, but crying while doing so.
Resolution: the mistress had not realized how difficult of a decision the girl made and her life circumstances so she is benevolent and allows the her to go to school with her own kids after house work and invites the family to live in her back house at the end of her big garden.
