Exposition: Barry is an old man who lives alone on a farm ever since his son died, and he only paints in black and white and sepia tones. He preparing for his gallery opening.
Inciting Incident: An 8 year old boy is left at his front door. The boy is alone and no one else is in sight.
Conflict: Barry puts the boy in his car and drives him to the nearest orphanage, when they get there he see’s that the orphanage is not open and will not let hime in. He decides to bring the boy back home for one night.
Crisis: The next morning Barry wakes up to find that the boy had painted over all of his gallery artwork in color with one of his sons old paint sets. Mad at first he realizes that his paintings need color and life just as he does.
Resolution: Barry and the boy turn in the now colorful paintings to the gallery. The boy lives with Barry and the two continue to paint in color on their farm.
